2025 Board of Trustees Election
Nominations for the 2025 LASERS Board of Trustees Election will open on March 1.
Every two years, LASERS members have the opportunity to vote for representatives on the 13-member Board.
In this election, three seats are available for active members and one for retired members.

Nomination Petitions
Anyone interested in running for a seat on the LASERS Board must complete a nomination petition and submit it to LASERS by Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Central Time.
The petition provides detailed information on candidate qualifications, campaign platforms, required photos, trustee responsibilities, key deadlines, and petition signature requirements.
2025 Election Schedule of Events
This schedule may be modified by the Executive Director of LASERS in the event of a disaster or emergency declared by executive order or proclamation of the Governor.

All nominating petitions, qualifications, platforms, and photos are due to LASERS by 4:00 p.m. (Central Time).
Signed nominating petitions will be accepted if received by fax or email by the date nominations are closed, as long as the original nominating petition with signatures is received by 4:00 p.m. (Central Time) July 11, 2025 (first Friday following the close of nominations). If originals are not received by that deadline, the person in whose name they are submitted shall not be qualified as a candidate. |

The final day that information on candidates/ballots is mailed to members. Voting begins. |

Votes tallied and verified by this date. |
| November 13 or 14, 2025 (Regular November Board Meeting) |
The Board certifies and authorizes the publication of the ballot count. |
