Baton Rouge – The Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System (LASERS) is pleased to announce Matthew LaBruyere as its new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). In this role, LaBruyere will oversee the System’s Fiscal Division, serve as Chief Risk Officer and Incident Response Manager, and provide assistance to the Research and Data Analytics Program as well as Strategic Initiatives.

Matthew brings a wealth of knowledge to LASERS, with extensive management experience and over eight years of working with the legislature and government agencies on fiscal matters. Prior to joining LASERS, he served as Deputy Commissioner and Associate Commissioner of Finance and Administration at the Louisiana Board of Regents. His extensive career also included roles at the Louisiana Legislative Fiscal Office.

LaBruyere holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a Master of Public Administration from Louisiana State University.
